Welcome to the Mulkey

Located on a hilltop in west Eugene, the peaceful Mulkey Cemetery has served as a community burial ground and open space for nearly 150 years.

Now organized as a 501(c)3 nonprofit and managed by a volunteer board, the cemetery preserves the past, is engaged with the present, and looks toward a long future as a community resource.

New Cemetery Brochure

Thanks to a supporting grant from the Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries (and a lot of work from the cemetery board) we have a new Mulkey brochure. I am very pleased with how it turned out — lots of color, pictures of the cemetery, visitor information, and best of all, a BIG copy of the 1892 map updated with landmarks. It should be much easier to orient yourself now!

You can take a look here at PDFs of the exterior and interior, or I’ll be happy to send you a hard copy.

Memorial Day

A few images from today’s dedication — it was great to see so many old friends and neighbors and new faces, too! It’s that community feeling we have at the Mulkey that makes this such a special place. There are some additional photos up on Facebook.
